Here’s how… In the mergers and acquisition world, there is a well-known concept called a "roll-up".

A roll-up is the buying of several like-kind businesses in the same market area, operate them under a common umbrella and management team, and when their collective market share ranks them in the number 1 or 2 spot in that marketplace –– a corporate buyer comes along and buys the business.

It's been done in many service oriented industries, especially healthcare, heating, cooling, electrical, and plumbing contractors. But it hasn't caught on in the residential real estate brokerage business. Until now.

  • And what better time than now, during a market downturn to purchase small to medium-sized struggling real estate brokerage businesses (buy low), turn them around to profitability, and then resell them (sell high).

  • This isn’t very different than the concept of flipping a fixer-upper home… remodeling it and selling it for a profit, or holding onto it for the income it generates. But instead of fixer-upper homes, we look for fixer-upper real estate companies. 

Now, let me tell you about an emerging company who invented a real estate management model known as a "TREBB".
